Your physiotherapist is your partner in improving your physical health and performance. Physiotherapists are primary health care providers and have in-depth, specialized training to assess, diagnose and provide treatment for injuries, disorders and conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system-your bones, muscles, joints and associated nerves. Your physiotherapist will discuss the history of your injury or condition and relevant medical history, and conduct a physical assessment in order to come up with a diagnosis. Your physiotherapist will discuss treatment options and work with you to set goals for treatment and develop a plan to achieve them. Your treatment may include hands-on treatment such as joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques and stretches, as well as therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential current, TENS, muscle stimulation, heat and ice. You will be given specific exercises to help with your injury or condition, and education and advice for managing your symptoms, promoting recovery and preventing future re-injury.

Kyley will work with you to get to the root cause of your injury or dysfunction. She will provide tailored treatments and customized exercise and activity recommendations for your specific situation. She will provide education about how to manage, recover from, and prevent a recurrence of your injury, or advice on how to maximize your function and quality of life when managing a chronic condition.

Kyley received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2010. She has experience working in private physiotherapy clinics in Edmonton, AB, Auckland New Zealand, Qualicum Beach BC and Nanaimo BC, vocational rehabilitation at Millard Health Centre in Edmonton, and acute care hospitals (St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, AB and the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB). Kyley has her Level 1 Diploma of Manual Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
